Review: Bosch VeroAroma 500 Coffee Machine
It’s always a good time for a coffee, and better so when the cup of coffee is free. We recently got the chance to try a cup of coffee from the Bosch VeroAroma 500 machine, which needless to say went down very well, especially as it was a Monday. In an effort to explore a range of coffee machines out there, in order for you to find the correct fit for your home or business, we’ve been exploring a host of viable options, and are happy to give you a rundown of the experience with the VeroAroma 500 in particular today.
More about Bosch
Known as a leading brand providing home supplies to the South African market, Bosch has been around for generations (literally), constantly pushing themselves and aspiring to meet the high demands of homeowners from all walks of life. Robert Bosch opened his first workshop in 1886, and from 2002, coffee machines have been an important part of the development of the brand, and a new branch of their business. A household branch, Bosch is a company you can bank on if you’re looking for something that may cost a little more upfront, but will last for a very long time.
Types of Coffee Machines by Bosch
Bosch supplies a host of automatic coffee and espresso machines and their range is rather staggering. They’re also relatively well known for their high quality coffee grinders, coming in a range of fun and decorative colours. Their coffee range, while not particularly extensive, is broken up into three primary product types: fully automatic, filter and coffee grinders. It seems they’ve opted for quality and style, over and above providing too many options and confusing the consumer with a multitude of choices, which, in this day and age, is not necessarily a bad thing.
Reviewing the Bosch VeroAroma 500
The Good: Using the VeroAroma 500 was simple, quick and uncomplicated. With the ability to make two cups at a time, the machine has a functional design, as well as the option to make a variety of drinks, ranging from espresso to caffe latte and more. The display, which features around 14 buttons, provides enough variety without overcomplicating the process. It takes around 300g of coffee beans at any given time, with a water tank capacity of 1.7L. The coffee tasted as good as the machine looks, and we were so happy that we asked for a second cup.
The Bad: While it’s hard to fault the design and user experience, one thing to keep in mind is that the machine is relatively bulky, coming in at 11kg. Keep this in mind if you’re looking to be a bit more mobile and on the go. If we were to nitpick a bit, we could mention that my colleague would have liked for his cup to be a little warmer initially, although he was pleased to find out that it was possible to adjust the temperature according to three different levels, based on the needs of the consumer.
The Bosch VeroAroma 500 does what it is supposed to, which is to provide a fast, reliable, good tasting cup of coffee. With a 15 000 cup guarantee, this is the machine that is built to last, and well worth considering should you wish to get a new machine for home or the office. Aquaspresso is a good option to explore, if you’re looking to purchase or rent (yes, it’s a thing) your next coffee machine. It’s never been more affordable to own a great coffee machine, so consider the Bosch VeroAroma 500, and here’s to a very enjoyable next cup.
