Keurig, developed and majority owned by Green Mountain Coffee, is the biggest single serve coffee system in Northern America. The Green Mountain Coffee system differs from most single serve systems in the way that all Keurig coffee machines are manufactured by Green Mountain Coffee but the coffee itself is manufactured or roasted by a large number of famous coffee brands and only packed by Green Mountain Coffee. This model allows consumers to enjoy 100’s of different beverages from many different coffee suppliers unlike Nespresso where consumers can only use Nespresso capsules (with the exception of a variety of unlicensed Nespresso compatible capsules)

One of the reasons why Keurig is such a smash hit is not only because it is a great working machine with an obscene amount of options, but it is also priced great. Coffee Machines sell from $89 with coffee pods selling from $0.74 per capsule.

Availability:

Unfortunately Keurig is not yet available in South Africa and can only be found in the U.S. And Canada and more recently has just launched in the U.K.
